X-Series are advanced SCR industrial battery chargers that offer industry-leading features. They are ideal for use in both specialized applications, such as industrial vehicles, aerial work platforms, and floor care, and general-purpose charging applications.

Reliable and Durable

The X-Series product line continues the tradition of proven Lester Electrical reliability. The case is heavy gauge and powder coated. The efficient convection-cooled design offers optimal heat dissipation without the need for a cooling fan, which further enhances reliability. X-Series battery chargers are made in the USA and tested to UL and CSA standards.

Optimum Battery Capacity and Life

An advanced microprocessor controller is featured in X-Series battery chargers. Precise Lester Electrical charging and termination algorithms prevent both undercharging and overcharging, optimizing both daily battery capacity and overall battery life.

Storage/Refresh Mode

X-Series battery chargers are designed to remain connected to batteries with the AC power on when equipment is not in use. A charger will periodically provide a special refresh/conditioning charge to the batteries during storage to overcome battery self-discharge and reduce sulfation.

Manual Stop/Start

The manual stop/start button available on XSeries battery chargers can be used to manually stop a charge cycle before automatic termination occurs to safely disconnect the battery. This button can also be used to restart a charge cycle that you previously manually stopped.

Low Battery Voltage Start

Overly-discharged batteries are not an issue for XSeries battery chargers. A low voltage start button is available to manually start a charge cycle for a low-voltage battery (down to 1V).

Self Diagnostic

If an issue occurs with a battery charging system containing an X-Series battery charger, you can press the innovative self diagnostic button to determine if the charger is functioning properly, and if not, which component needs to be serviced.

Encapsulated Controller

The X-Series controller is completely encapsulated in a protective material. This protects the electronics from moisture/corrosion.

To all of our friends:

Today is truly a milestone - We are proud (and sad) to announce the retirement of Mr. Richard Barrere, our good friend and service manager for many years. Dick started his career at Hobart as a welder technician fifty years ago, and moved to Ground Power at the factory several years later. In 1983, Dick left Hobart to work in the "private sector" for McCormick Morgan in San Francisco. He became an expert in 400Hz distribution systems and was instrumental in the installation of many military and airport projects.

In 1988, Dick came to work for us to handle the west coast, where he drove a service van for several years and provided first class service to many of our customers (as well as competitors), who recognized his talent and ability. We then later relocated Dick to Smyrna back in the late 90's to help us with our growing service business. As Service Manager, he has processed thousands of invoices, taught us how things really worked, streamlined our service operations, and has made many, many friends in the GSE industry.

This week, Dick was presented a lifetime achievement award from Hobart Ground Power for 50 years of service and dedication to the industry. I know that you all agree with me that he has been one of the best, if not the best.

Dick, along with his wife and son plan to sell their home north of Atlanta and move back home to Ohio to be with family.

We will all miss him.
