Model 960 - Rescue Battery Jump Pack Kit

The model 960 rescue battery jump pack is a self-contained, rescue kit for automotive failures. This model comes with an 18 Amp Hour battery that has a 400 Amp starting current capacity and a peak output of 900 Amps. Connecting this rescue kit in the dark is easy with the illuminated battery clamps and the flashing safety light provides a warning to other motorists that you are working on your vehicle. This model also has a built-in 120 Volt AC power inverter for those times when you have to run a power tool or a portable light. The power inverter comes with an in-line 30 amp fuse to protect your peripheral components. The USB receptacle also makes it easy to recharge your hand-held devices.

To all of our friends:

Today is truly a milestone - We are proud (and sad) to announce the retirement of Mr. Richard Barrere, our good friend and service manager for many years. Dick started his career at Hobart as a welder technician fifty years ago, and moved to Ground Power at the factory several years later. In 1983, Dick left Hobart to work in the "private sector" for McCormick Morgan in San Francisco. He became an expert in 400Hz distribution systems and was instrumental in the installation of many military and airport projects.

In 1988, Dick came to work for us to handle the west coast, where he drove a service van for several years and provided first class service to many of our customers (as well as competitors), who recognized his talent and ability. We then later relocated Dick to Smyrna back in the late 90's to help us with our growing service business. As Service Manager, he has processed thousands of invoices, taught us how things really worked, streamlined our service operations, and has made many, many friends in the GSE industry.

This week, Dick was presented a lifetime achievement award from Hobart Ground Power for 50 years of service and dedication to the industry. I know that you all agree with me that he has been one of the best, if not the best.

Dick, along with his wife and son plan to sell their home north of Atlanta and move back home to Ohio to be with family.

We will all miss him.
